Perrin has devised a clever fix for the the burning oil smell and blue smoke problems associated with installing a turbo-back exhaust on the 15+ wrx
Installing a J-pipe or cat-back exhaust causes a change in exhaust pressure, allowing engine oil to escape out the turbo seals, creating leaks and smells from the exhaust.
The Perrin Turbo Sump Restrictor makes the turbo sump pump more effective by creating a slight vacuum. This restores the proper balance of exhaust and pressure and vacuum, significantly reducing the leaking around the turbo.
The restrictor installs inline in the turbo oil drain line; .
