The Platypus mounts your license plate in the tow hook receptacle of your Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ, so you don't have to drill holes in the bumper, and so you can remove the plate easily for car shows or other occasions when it's not wanted/needed. Lightweight but sturdy black anodized aluminum and steel construction. Installation is easy -- you'll need just a 19mm (or 3/4") wrench, a 17mm wrench, and a 4mm (or 5/32") allen key.
