This antenna cover is made from "dry" carbon fiber, resulting in the thinnest, lightest, and strongest possible dress-up part. Okay, we say that with tongue firmly in cheek, but what we said about dry carbon is true. Dry carbon uses "prepreg" carbon fiber material that starts out infused with epoxy resin. Once it is formed into a mold, it is baked in a special oven called an autoclave. This generally leads to a finer, superior finish, since the amount of resin is more uniform and more precisely controlled compared to "wet" layup carbon where the resin is applied after the fact by hand.
