Okay, so we are making fun of this a little, and we admit it is a very tiny difference, but this is a genuine JDM stop lamp module that we import directly from Japan, and isn't it kind of fun to think of an inexpensive mod that only you will know about?
The JDM stop lamp installs directly in place of your USDM lamp module. Installation does involve removing the rear deck covering, which is held in by the C-pillar covers, which you can pop loose temporarily while you do the install. Pro tip: Note that the clip retention parts of the C-pillar trim panel will tend to stay in the C-pillar. Remove them from the metal body of the car and re-install them on the trim panel before popping the C-pillar covers back in place.
