This is a carbon fiber cover for the instrument cluster hood. The gauge cluster hood cover is made from "dry" carbon fiber, resulting in the thinnest, lightest, and strongest possible dress-up part. Okay, we realize cosmetic carbon fiber parts don't need to be strong, but dry carbon is great because it uses "prepreg" carbon fiber material that starts out infused with epoxy resin. Once it is formed into a mold, it is baked in a special oven called an autoclave. This leads to a finer, superior finish, since the amount of resin is more uniform and more precisely controlled compared to "wet" layup carbon where the resin is applied after the fact by hand.

This part installs directly over the existing gauge cluster hood. Simple peel-and-stick installation using pre-installed 3M-type adhesive. Prep with a little rubbing alcohol for best adhesion.
