Perhaps the strength is not our biggest concern in this case, but dry carbon has benefits that help make this part great. Dry carbon uses "prepreg" carbon fiber material that starts out infused with epoxy resin. Once it is formed into a mold, it is baked in a special oven called an autoclave. This leads to a finer, superior finish, since the amount of resin is more uniform and more precisely controlled compared to "wet" layup carbon where the resin is applied after the fact by hand.

The cover installs directly over the existing console. Simple peel-and-stick installation using pre-installed 3M-type adhesive. Clean the console with a little rubbing alcohol before installation for best adhesion.
