There's this great spot on the top of the Subaru engine block that has a plug in it. That plug gives you access to the oil gallery (or galley, if you prefer). If you remove that plug, you can insert THIS item, which will allow you to thread any 1/8" NPT oil pressure or temp sensor directly in. How convenient! Fits all 2002+ Subaru engines. Note that some engines have easier access to this spot than others. Please confirm there is room for your sensor and wiring before ordering! If the fit is tight, try our , which allows for remote-mounting the sensor.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN this part. It is not a steel bolt; it is a brass fitting and does not require substantial torque to tighten. Overtightening will break off the flat flange. We will not warranty this part if you overtighten it. we Recommend about 40ft/lbs
